United Kingdom Family Travel

The UK should be firmly in anyone’s travel plans for the pure fact alone that it has such a mind-boggling history.

You can see buildings from 3700 BC and castles and stately homes such as Highclere Castle made famous by Downtown Abbey.

Visit London with the kids for iconic landmarks such as Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace and the Tower of London as well as fabulous family-friendly museums.

But if history is not your thing, you can also get outdoors and visit beautiful national parks such as the Peak District or the Lake District or Snowdon in North Wales. They are excellent locations for family walks.

You can see peninsulas and bays, islands and lakes (or lochs in Scotland where you might catch a glimpse of the Loch Ness Monster).

We have Jurassic coastlines in Dorset and heritage coastlines in Suffolk. We have mountains (with ski resorts!) and peaks, hills and dales and lavender fields.

And after all this, why not sit back and relax in a quaint British pub with a craft beer from a local distillery while enjoying your meal of locally sourced produce?

Even the pubs are old with the oldest having served beer since 570! If you need more UK staycation inspiration, make sure to check out our new UK Family Travel site.
