15 Lovely Small Campsites in Suffolk for Families
With Suffolk being one of the most unspoiled parts of the country, it’s ideal for a family camping holiday. Whilst locations such as the New Forest, the Lake District, and the southwest continue to be incredibly popular camping locations, Suffolk remains relatively off the radar.
As such there are lots of lovely, quiet campsites in Suffolk to choose from including some great coastal campsites located in some incredibly scenic areas. You really are spoiled for choice when camping in Suffolk, so where do you start?
The Suffolk Coast? A big draw for people to Suffolk is the Suffolk coast. There is a 50 mile stretch of heritage coast, most of which is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) with some of the most unspoiled beaches in the UK.
Our favourite Suffolk beaches are Dunwich, Thorpeness, Aldeburgh, Southwold, Walberswick and Covehithe. There are plenty of coastal campsites in Suffolk to choose from if you’re looking for a beach holiday.
Looking to go camping but facilities are closed? Check out these UK campsites with ensuite facilities.
If you’re not looking for a coastal holiday, then there’s the rural Constable countryside around Dedham Vale, also an AONB, and many quaint Suffolk villages. Whatever type of camping holiday you’re looking for, there are a whole host of small campsites in Suffolk to suit your needs and we have picked 15 of the very best campsites in Suffolk.
They range from rustic camping in Suffolk fields to luxury Suffolk glamping experiences to holiday park style campsites. One thing these Suffolk campsites all have in common is that they are small, intimate, and great for family camping, especially camping with toddlers.
