You aren’t paying for fancy facilities which often you don’t need when you’re out and about sightseeing all day.
We have tried out many family-friendly hotels in London, and keep coming back to the Premier Inn chain for a good value London hotel stay.

Premier Inn County Hall (Premier Plus)
The London County Hall Premier Inn is our favourite Premier Inn in London for families because of its fantastic location.
It is located in the impressive County Hall building and right on your doorstep are a number of top London attractions.
You are right next door to the London Eye (read our post to see whether it is worth visiting the London Eye) and centrally located enough to visit lots of attractions on foot.
They have standard family rooms with a double or kingsize bed, a sofa bed and a pull out bed for larger families.
Looking for places to eat near the Premier Inn County Hall? We recommend walking along to Southbank where you will find just about any and every type of food.

The Premier Inn London Bank is one of the most central Premier Inn hotels in London for families.
You are right in the middle of the City of London within easy walking distance of the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, Monument and St Paul’s Cathedral.
For fantastic views of London, pop into the Sky Garden (need to book but it is free to visit) or The Garden at 120 (no booking required).

Greenwich is a fantastic area of London to base yourself when you are visiting with kids and the Premier Inn London Greenwich is a great place to stay to enjoy it all.
There is so much green space, including Greenwich Park from where you can get amazing views of the London skyline. There is also a huge selection of museums and attractions just on your doorstep.
It is also very easy to hop into central London on the DLR (Docklands Light Railway).

If you are arriving by train into London Kings Cross station, the Premier Inn at London Kings Cross is so convenient.
It is within walking distance of the British Museum and the Museum of London – two of the best museums for kids in London.
As you are right by Kings Cross station, you might like to look into day trips from London by train. Cambridge is a lovely day out from London with kids and trains depart from Kings Cross.

The Premier Inn London Southwark Bankside is located on the south side of the River Thames and is ideal for foodies who want to explore Borough Market.
Also nearby is The Shard where you can buy entry tickets to the viewing platform. If you are feeling like a special treat, check out the Peter Pan themed afternoon tea at Aqua Shard. It is one of the best afternoon teas in London for families.
Don’t miss taking a lovely stroll along the south side of the river towards the London Eye. You will get great views of the City of London.
