Most UK tree house holidays are suitable for 2 people (they are great for couples) but we have also found some stunning tree house holidays for families in the UK.
I would loved to have stayed in any one of these family-friendly tree houses when I was a kid.
Although calling some of these kid-friendly treehouse hotels is a bit of a stretch. I mean. Some of them are bigger than my house!
Tree house holidays are ideal for those wanting to escape the crowds and get close to nature.

Many people have been choosing Forest Holidays as a slightly cheaper alternative to Centre Parcs.

Sitting in a 250 year old oak tree in the grounds of the Fox & Hounds hotel in Chulmleigh in North Devon is this stunning 2-bedroom fully self-contained tree house.

Hideout Treehouse Sleepy Owl Devon
Just a stone’s throw from the North Devon coast is Sleepy Owl family offering luxury treehouse holidays for families on the Devon coast.
It is set in the stunning and dramatic Hartland Devon Heritage Coast near the beautiful village of Clovelly.
They have three treehouse properties set in their stunning 20 acre property. Local craftsmen helped to create two of the handcrafted treehouses.
There are lovely touches for children staying at Sleepy Owl, for example lights above their bunk beds, a telescope for star gazing, screen projector for movie nights and plenty of board games.
Each space has outdoor hammocks to enjoy the sounds of nature, a BBQ and a pizza oven.
Dogs are very welcome (up to 2 per property at £25 each) at these treetop lodges with hot tubs.
Nest Treehouse – the Nest Treehouse sleeps 4 with a king size four poster bed on one room and bunk beds in another. Luxurious touches in this Devon treehouse include wood fired hot tub and a gold roll-top bath.
Hideout Treehouse – the Hideout Treehouse sleeps 4 in separate bedrooms with the only indoor/outdoor bathtub in a treehouse in the UK.
Cosy Cowshed – The Cosy Cowshed is not actually a treehouse but a converted cowshed but worth mentioning anyway because it is just as stunning.

Wild Escapes offer lovely, rustic family treehouse holidays set in 1000 acres at Fullerton Farm in Hampshire.
Whilst the treehouse blends in with the local surroundings with its rustic exterior looks, inside you will find lovely modern touches.
The treehouses are set in the woods and overlooks Black Chalk Vineyard. There’s even a bath on the veranda where you can soak and enjoy a glass of local wine.
In the evening, sit by the firepit and listen out for resident badgers.

Rufus’s Roost is set within private woodland at Baxby Manor in North Yorkshire.
There is a large veranda with hot tub which is perfect for outdoor dining whilst looking over the treetops.
Kids will love the secret slide and den with games console.

Journeyman Treehouse is a huge round tree house at Brook House Woods in Herefordshire, one of the best glamping sites in the UK.
Tree barn is probably a more appropriate description. The large lounge area is big enough to accommodate a pool table.
There are also 4 separate bedrooms sleeping up to 10 people.
Outside there is a secluded outdoor bath and rainforest shower and a firepit area.

Bredon Hill Treehouses
Bredon Hill Treehouses offer luxury treehouse holidays with hot tubs in the Cotswolds.
The treehouses are set in the trees with beautiful, uninterrupted views of Bredon Hill.
There are two treehouses, each sleeping 4 people (although Orchard Treehouse is a little bigger).
Each one has their own private hot tub. Guests will receive a welcome hamper on arrival and find a bottle of prosecco chilling in the fridge.

Wilderness Wood is more than a wood, it is a woodland community. Here you will find two treehouses.
Yaffle Treehouse and Dumbledore Treehouse are both built from timber from the wood.
Each cabin sleeps 4 with a king size bed in one bedroom and another king size bed in a loft area above the main living area.
Guests will enjoy views of the Christmas tree field and beyond over the South Downs.
Dogs are welcome in Dumbledore cabin.

Silva Treehouse is located at Into the Woods near Penrith in Cumbria offering tree house accommodation for large families.

Kids will love the games room reached by a slide (and the ping pong table). Adults will love the mountain views from the hot tub and the huge outdoor dining area.
So much care and attention has gone into crafting this palatial treehouse. It is probably the only family tree house holidays in the UK we have found with underfloor heating.

The Treehouse at Another Place sit within 18 acres of National Parkland along the shores of Ullswater in the Lake District in Cumbria.
There is a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, sleeping 4.
The treehouse is found in a secluded setting within the hotel grounds. You can take a soak in the freestanding bath on the deck while enjoying the views of the lake and beyond.
Guests staying in the treehouse have access to Swim Club with the lake-view pool and outdoor hot tub, the library, Kids’ Zone and the two hotel restaurants.
This is the perfect treehouse accommodation for families who would like access to a pool.

It offers deluxe tree house accommodation with its own copper bathtub on the veranda and is surrounded by forest with lake views.

Living- Room treehouse experience
Located just south of Snowdonia National Park, the treehouses at Living Room Treehouses are ideally placed for outdoor enthusiasts.
The treehouse accommodation in North Wales has been designed to blend perfectly with the surroundings. There is no electricty in the treehouses and toilets are compost toilets. This is real ‘off-grid’ tree house living.
There are six treehouses and each one can accommodate 4 with a double bed and fold down bunk beds. A day bed can be provided for one extra child.

They have mini kitchenettes and marble bathrooms with freestanding baths with forest views, a walk in shower and double basin.
Each treehouse has a hot tub on the private deck.
There is also the lovely luxury touch of a breakfast hamper delivered daily.
