Many of these pumpkin farms in NY have lots of Halloween activities for you besides the pumpkin picking. So why not make a day of it and plan some Fall fun for the whole family?

These are the best places to go pumpkin picking in New York this year..

Fink’s Country Farm
Fink’s Country Farm is a great place to pick your own pumpkins on Long Island. U-pick pumpkins on the vine are not included with admission, but you get access to the pumpkin patch, plus activities like animals, slides, pedal carts, and other play areas.
You can pay extra to feed the animals, take a pony ride, use the apple cannons or pick pumpkins. Fink’s is also open in the spring, where you can buy produce and flowers from their Farm Stand, visit the animals, and enjoy the play areas.

When: September 10th through October 30th from 9.30 to 5pm.
Tickets: Weekdays – $10.00 per person, ages 2 & under FREE! Weekends – TBC.
Stakey’s Pumpkin Farm
Another pumpkin patch on Long Island is Stakey’s Pumpkin Farm. It is a great place for pumpkin picking in New York since they have free admission.
You just need to pick your pumpkins off the vine in their 26 acre pumpkin field and pay for them by the pound. Other activities at the farm include hayrides and a corn maze.
Where: 270 West Ln, Aquebogue, NY 11931.
When: Mid September to late October; some attractions are closed on weekdays. The pumpkin patch is open every day of the season.
Tickets: Free admission; Pumpkin Prices – $0.79 per pound; Hayrides – $8/person; Corn Maze – $10/person; Bounce House – $3/person; Arm & Hand Painting. Pricing varies per design selected.
Stuart’s Farm
Stuart’s Farm is a family-run farm located in Westchester County that has been operating since 1828.
It is a great place to go pumpkin picking in New York if you don’t want to visit a patch but want a good pumpkin. They have pre-picked pumpkins at the farm stand.
Before picking out the perfect pumpkin, take a hayride around the orchard and farm, or go to the orchard and pick your own apples.
Where: 62 Granite Springs Rd, Granite Springs, NY 10527.
When: August 1st – November 1st for fruits, vegetables and pick your own 9 am- 6 pm.
Tickets: Admission and parking are free; pumpkins, apples and more are for sale, but they only accept cash or check.
Green Meadows Farm Brooklyn
If you’re looking for pumpkin picking in New York City, head to Green Meadows Farm Brooklyn.
Green Meadows Farm is a petting farm with loads going on. Check out the Fall Farm Fun at the weekends (see their Facebook page for the most up to date information).
Everything is included in the ticket price including hay rides, selfies with scarecrows and a huge playground area.

When: Weekends only in October through to mid November.
Tickets: $12.00 per person.
Decker Farm
Decker Farm in New Springville on Staten Island is New York City’s oldest continuous working family farm and a designated New York City Landmark.
As well as the pumpkin patch, it offers a fun family day out with a corn maze, hay rides, arts and crafts and more.
Where: 435 Richmond Hill Road, Staten Island, NY 10314.
When: October weekends from 11am to 5pm.
Tickets: Tickets can be purchased online for a reduced price. $9 per adult, $4 per child (3 – 12) and Under 2 – Free.
DuBois Farms
Halfway between New York City and Albany, Dubois Farms is a great place to pick pumpkins in the Fall, especially because they are open daily. They have also been voted best Pick-Your-Own in the Hudson Valley.
In addition to their pumpkin patch, they have a corn maze, farm animals, and a tavern that sells local wine and beer in the Fall.
They have a lot of other fruits and vegetables to pick between June and October, and availability varies by fruit. They also sell fresh desserts and baked goods.
On October 30th and 31st they hold a Halloween Fun Festival where kids can come dressed in costume and get a prize.

When: Pumpkins available mid-September through October; Open daily from early July to late November with select days in June.

Greig Farm
Another place to pick pumpkins in New York that is open daily is Greig Farm, just an hour south of Albany.
They have a huge selection of pumpkins to choose from. There are different types depending on if you are carving, baking, or decorating with them.
Other produce you can pick throughout the year includes asparagus, strawberries, pears, blueberries, blackberries, and apples.
There is a farm trail that take you on a 4 mile loop around the farm – taking in the orchard, pasture and forest.

When: The farm is open from 10 am to 7 pm, seven days a week; Pumpkin picking season is from mid-September to early November.
Tickets: Admission is free; pumpkins and other products are priced by the pound.
Will’s Cackleberry Castle Pumpkin Farm
Will’s Cackleberry Castle Pumpkin Farm not too far northeast of Syracuse also has a huge variety of pumpkins to choose from.
Other than pumpkins, you can buy other Fall foods like apples, cider, gourds, hay bales, and maple syrup. They also have live music on Sundays in the Fall.

When: Mid-September to the end of October Thursday – Sundays.

Engelke Farms
Engelke Farms is located near Albany in Rensselaer County. It is a good place for pumpkin picking in New York if you want to enjoy a hayride to the pumpkin patch.
They have a big selection of pumpkins to choose from if you want something unique.
They also have a corn maze, animals to feed, homemade apple cider, donuts and a nursery that sells Fall decor.

When: September & October.
Tickets: Admission is free; additional cost for the corn maze, pumpkins, and hayrides if you are not purchasing a pumpkin.
Wickham Farms
Wickham Farms has a huge pick your own pumpkin patch filled with thousands of pumpkins in all different shapes and sizes to choose from.
They also have a four-acre corn maze, hayrides, mini-golf, and more activities and a fabulous pumpkin house.

When: Daily from early September to the end of October; closed Wednesdays.
Tickets: People under three years and over 79 are free; tickets range from $10.95 to $23.95 online depending on how many activities you want; prices are higher at the farm; Season Pass – $44.95.
Awald Farms – Giant Pumpkin Farm
Awald Farms has some of the biggest pumpkins in New York. Not only are large pumpkins good for carving, but kids love them.
There are a few small play areas for kids too and some beautiful flower patches.
They have a lot of different types of pumpkins, including gourds and white pumpkins. Also for sale at the farm are homemade items, squashes, straw, flowers, and more!

Stoughton Farm
Stoughton Farm is full of pumpkins in the Fall for sale in various sizes. This New York pumpkin patch also has other Fall activities like their MAiZE, hayrides, jumping pillow, and a cow train.
Watch out for their maize maze design for this year. They get more intricate every year!
