Without a doubt my anxiety levels have risen since having kids but I've noticed it even more in the last year or so.

I've started talking to my GP about menopause as anxiety can be a sign.

It's important to me not to project my fears onto the kids as I want them to be free and enjoy life but with 2 fearless boy explorers on my hands, sometimes I'm a wreck 🤯

Has anyone else experienced this? Has anything you've done made it easier?

This hike was epic by the way. It was just the start of the Otter Trail hike, a 42km/5 day hike in the Tsitsikamma National Park in South Africa. We did an 8km loop with a beautiful waterfall stop half way.

One day we'll do the full trail. As long as my anxieties behave themselves 😅

We haven't been travelling much recently because we've been working hard on our house renovation and spending ALL of our money on that but we did manage a budget trip to Barcelona recently to celebrate Ed's 50th so I will share details on that soon - and by soon I probably mean in 2026 🙈

They may look pretty from the outside but inside it's a different story as they're often used a public urinals.

Earth Day is always a day of reflection for me, especially since having kids. I find myself wondering whether they will be lucky enough to meet these same truly spectacular but endangered mountain gorillas of the Umubano group in the Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda that Ed and I met in 2010 ➡️.

I wonder many things. I wonder if we could do better when in reality I know we could do better. We do little things to be more environmentally friendly but I know it's not enough.

What little things do you do day to day that could help make a difference? I'd love more inspiration 💚🌍
