United Kingdom Family Travels

The UK should be firmly in anyone’s travel plans for the pure fact alone that it has such a mind boggling history. You can see buildings from 3700 BC, castles and stately homes such as Highclere Castle made famous by Downtown Abbey and iconic landmarks in London such as Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace and the Tower of London.

But if history is not your thing, you can also get outdoors and visit beautiful national parks such as the Peak District or the Lake District. You can see peninsulas and bays, islands and lakes (or lochs in Scotland where you might catch a glimpse of the Loch Ness Monster). We have Jurassic and heritage coastlines. We have mountains (with ski resorts!) and peaks, hills and dales.

And after all this, why not sit back and relax in a quaint British pub with a craft beer from a local distillery while enjoying your meal of locally sourced produce? Even the pubs are old with the oldest having served beer since 570!
